Cheapest travel class

When you are booking your flight, you can choose between several classes: economic, business or first. These three classes, which are proposed in most airlines offer different services and comfort. Gopili describes for you each class to better understand what the differences are.

  • Economy Class: most of the time the Economy Class is the most popular class, as it is the cheapest offer. Its comfort and services are simple compared to the upper classes. While companies increasingly improve the comfort of this class, seats are generally uncomfortable: the inclination of the seat is low, the distance between seats is narrow, and an armrest is used for two passengers. Therefore, the travelers must accept being seat in a tight space without being able to move. Concerning the services, the Economy Class offers nothing special. At the airport, the passenger must take charge of himself and on board the cabin crew will provide service meals and drinks only. If you book an Economy Class air ticket the level of service on board will be lower but you’re sure to find cheap flight. The low cost airlines generally do not distinguish classes and offer the same or less services and comfort than the economic class of classic airlines.
  • Business Class: the Business class is more expensive than the Economy Class. Usually, these Business Class tickets are booked by people who make business travel, as well as travelers willing to travel with high quality of comfort and services.
    • For long-haul flights: Passengers have comfortable seat with more space, especially for the legs. In addition to this, travelers are received and served by a trained staff with a catering service.
    • For short and medium-haul flights: On short-haul flight it is rare to have a Business Class but on medium-haul flights seats in Business Class are more and more offered. Passengers benefit from better seats and more space and being served a proper meal during the flight.
  • First Class: the first class is the most prestigious but also the most comfortable class. It combines both luxury and high-quality services. Book a First Class flight is expensive, cheap airline tickets don’t exist when you travel on First class. The services offered by the first class begin at the arrival at the airport where receptionist comes to guide the traveler through the check-in and boarding. Of course, the passenger flying in First Class has the priority everywhere and benefit of a waiting-room equipped with WIFI, computers, restaurants, showers, and other services…On board, the service is also of very high quality: luxury food, French wine, champagne, bar, flowers…

Book in advance to get cheap flight tickets

As you know airlines follow a fare policy called Yield Management. It is a system manages the available capacity with the aim to optimize revenue. In short: ticket prices vary according to purchase date and filling of the airplane. Algorithms calculate in real time the optimal rate for the plane to be profitable for the airline.

Usually it is preferable to book in advance to benefit from cheap flight tickets. How much time in advance? It depends on a lot of factors like the airlines (low-cost or not), the distance of the journey, the date of booking… Generally, for a short-haul flight, it is recommended to book 5 weeks in advance and for a long-haul flight booked 6 months early. In this way you will benefit from low prices, find cheap flight tickets and save a lot of money. Do not hesitate to look at the price before to book; fares can fluctuate a lot from an hour to another hour.
